Hakuna Matata is surely one of best Vegetarian food joints of Kolkata. You will get lots of different varieties of veg dishes with a nice creativity.  This place is cozy and nice with modern outlook, the food is amazing, even though I’m a hardcore eater of non-vegetarian food, will recommend this vegetarian place. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with colourful walls, wish trees and hanging statues. The decoration and the ambiance is awesome even the location is very convenient. All the dishes they served were beautifully decorated and amazing. They serve Indian food in so many different ways that will really blow your mind away. If you are in Park Street area then you should definitely visit this place for their awesome dishes and sinful desserts. Recently they introduced some new dishes in their menu and for this event TeamPanchPhoron was invited and the newly launched dishes are as follows :  Cherry Twist, Double Chocolate Oreo Milk Shake, Ginger Blast, Masala Fries, Pindi Chole Tacos, Make Your Own Fajitas, Asian Platter, Veg Au Gratin, Flavoured Hummes and Pita, Sweet Potato Dabeli, Apple Pie, Dark Chocolate Explosion and Chocolate Cheese Cake.

Prepared with cherries, crushed ice cubes and served with a wedge of lemon as garnishing. It had a little tanginess in it but it was very refreshing and shooting.

If you love ginger then this is the drink for you. Prepared with lots of freshly cut ginger  Julienne’s mixed with fresh herbs and little spices. A perfect drink to cleanse all the toxins. Nicely garnished and served in a yellow kettle.

A very famous drink made of lots of chocolate and milk and topped with Oreo cookies. The shake was thick and very chocolaty and tasted awesome.

      Masala Fries:

Freshly cut potatoes boiled and then fried to perfection. Served in a yellow kettle. The spicy rub was awesome and the potatoes were soft from inside and nice and crispy from outside.

      Pindi Chole Tacos:

taco is a traditional Mexican dish composed of a corn or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling. This Taco was made of Pindi Chole or garbanzo beans. The spice mix was awesome and the tacos were thin and well seasoned.

      Make Your Own Fajitas:

fajita is a term found in Tex-Mex cuisine usually served as a taco on a flour or corn tortilla. This fajita was served with sour cream, guacamole, Baked Beans, Mexican Rice and salsa. The tortilla was thin and the accompaniments were fresh and tasty.

      Asian Platter:

This is a well executed platter and consisted of Paneer Satay, Thai green curry, coconut Rice, Wrapped vegetables and stir fried veggies. All the dishes were equally tasty but the Thai green curry was excellent.

      Veg Au Gratin:

This dish was prepared with lots of fresh vegetables and grated cheese. A bed of Freshly cooked vegetables and spinach topped with lots of grated cheese and then baked in the oven. Served with chilli garlic toast. The dish was awesome and the vegetables were cooked perfectly.

      Flavoured Hummus and Pita:

Hummus is a kind of dipping mixture prepared with cooked and mashed cheek peas. These are colourful hummus went well with the Pita bread and served in small buckets.

      Sweet Potato Dabeli:

A perfectly crispy sweet potato patty sandwiched between two medium sized buns and garnished with a little tamarind chutney and fresh pomegranate seeds. The taste was awesome and the flavours were outstanding. This is one dish you must try.

      Apple Pie:

A classic apple pie was there in their new menu. The apple was nicely caramelized and the outer crust was perfectly baked. A well prepared dish I must say.

       Chocolate Cheese Cake:

Chocolate cheese cake was outstanding. The dark chocolate mixed with cookies made it a mouthwatering dessert. This is highly recommended.

      Dark Chocolate Explosion:

A chocolate ball filled with ice cream was used and then topped with gems,  fresh pomegranate and liquid chocolate. The taste was divine.

Overall it was an amezing experience all together. The Management was super nice and very courteous. staffs were friendly and the service was good as well. Prices were very reasonable considering the quality and quantity.
