Newly Launched Menu at ‘ Wasabee ‘

Wasabee is a premier food joint for all those who loves Japanese, Burmese and Thai cuisine. This is a pretty looking outlet with a 20-30 seating capacity. Interiors are nicely decorated with red and white colour and all the tables are neat & clean and properly organized. Recently they shifted to a new location near Arya Vidyalaya in Kalikapur from their older outlet close to EM Bypass. They have some outstanding dishes in their newly launched menu and The Sushi & Sashimi platter and the Roasted Chili Pork are the dishes to die for. Me along with the members of TeamPanchPhoron were invited in a food tasting event and the we were really amazed by the quality and and the quantity of the dishes. The dishes which were there are as follows : Tornado Twist, Mexican Sunset, Kim-chi Salad, Sushi & Sashimi Platter Non-veg, Wassabee Special Pork, Burmese Fish Curry, Singapore Mixed Meat Noodles, Kung Pao Chicken, Seafood Hibachi Sizzler, Thai red Prawn Curry, Toffee Wall nut with Ice-Cream and Japanese Tea .

Location : Take the road from Abhisikta to South city mall and you will find this place to your right side. Also you can take an Auto from Abhisar Shopping mall for Arya Vidyalaya stoppage.

The mocktails were decently made. It was a soda base drink and they were very refreshing and soothing.

Japanese Tea:

Starters : Kim-chi Salad, Sushi & Sashimi Platter Non-veg and Wassabee Special Pork,

Kimchi Salad:

Kimchi is a staple in Korean cuisine and made of freshly cut cabbage and other vegetables and seasoned with chilli powder, ginger and garlic and lots of sesame seeds.

Sushi & Sashimi Platter Non-veg:

This is their signature dish and all the items were delicious. The sushi was prepared with perfection and the Sashimi was fresh and tasty. There were prawn, Squid, Salman, Tuna and Crab meat for the sashimi and Sushi. This is a highly recommended platter for everyone.

Wassabee Special Pork:

Soft Juicy pieces of pork tossed with bell peppers , onions and dry spices and garnished with spring onions and green chilies. The pork was nice and tender and the vegetables were crispy. A top quality dish I must say.

Main Course : Burmese Fish Curry, Singapore Mixed Meat Noodles, Kung Pao Chicken, Seafood Hibachi Sizzler, Thai red Prawn Curry

Burmese Fish Curry:

Big chunks of fish is prepared in a yellow gravy and served with steamed rice. The fish was fresh and juicy and the gravy was mildly spiced and little bit on the sweeter side.

Singapore Mixed Meat Noodles:

Perfectly cooked thin noodles prepared with egg, chicken, Prawn and fish and vegetables. The noodles was perfectly seasoned and all the ingredients were well cooked.

Kung Pao Chicken:

Pieces of chicken lightly battered and the fried and cooked in a gravy with bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Chicken was soft and succulent and the gravy was light and very tasty.

Seafood Hibachi Sizzler:

Seafood sizzler came with grilled octopus, Squid and fish and fresh vegetables. The octopus was well cooked though the texture was little rubbery but the squid and tyhe fish was awesome and tasted very fresh.

Thai red Prawn Curry:

A traditional Thai curry prepared with prawns. the taste was wonderful and the flavours were spot on. The coconut and the Kaffir lime leaves gave the dish a new dimension.

Desserts :

Toffee Wall nut with Ice-Cream:

Two scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup and fresh wall-nut.

Overall it was an wonderful experience and I would like to recommend this place to everyone to visit during the Puja Days. Staffs were good and the service was good. Prices were slightly higher but the quality and quantity of the dishes were too good.
